She is Touched
Cold and lonely days end.
My mind and heart begin to see her.
Then my eyes and hands did grasp her.
It is not I whom touched her first for we are mature.
Some of the great souls who have shared their spark have departed.
Some are here.
I have seen them, I meet one today.
Love has touched her.
I wish to stay near so that I may touch her again.

Enchanted – by Lani
I am yes, Enchanted.
By the Grace that flows from her fingers.
Enchanted yes, by the brisk clarity of the dark, winter night stars.
By the same summer evenings, they seem so close.
Enchanted yes, by the movement in the waters, her hands in the bath and the thunder and rainbows given by the grand lady Vernal Falls.
I am Enchanted by her hairs fine and long, like the grasses of the Meadow.
It is she, Enchanting, Heather by the Meadows, Ocean, Sky and Mountains.
Luster – by Lani
The luster comes during time.
Luster wasn’t my pursuit.
It was a gift of constant work.
I want my personality polished.
I think there is worth in it.
I went and looked for a woman who could make me better.
I found her.
She brought out the luster.
By Heather Mirassou
A Love Letter From Lani
Her eyes are as the green gems I seek in the desert yellowed by the sun.
Her smile wide and majestic as the horizon from the mountain top I love so.
I have seen the insight she bares.
To love in full intensity past the risk of hurt .
So now I know my place, never to hurt her, show her harm or turn from her unconditional Love .
Declarative – Lani and Heather Mirassou
Our stuff is here and there
We haven’t a creature that comes to us both
We do have love and share meaningfulness of Life
My mind searching the heavens for gifts to bring you
My heart does not want to stand alone
I am here, you are no longer alone
The pain is gone
I feel alive with you
We are both special and rare
Like a falling star and a crescent moon
It is not often a couple becomes as close as we
For our love grows as we find ourselves and each other in this love
Together we live in harmony
Like a river and a waterfall flowing together meeting to make love
We are one in nature
Combined to find the edges of love
A Love Letter From Lani
I am a jewel that polishes itself for the only love found
I find good things
I found you
We are so close
Let us go into each other
And raise ourselves holding ourselves together
We will both heal
We have both hurt
We can both step past it
Into a future with great love
From Lani
Darling Heather, I want to write you love poetry
So I do
When I reach inside my self and wonder how I can love
There in the quiet moments the answer comes
Love her more she can handle it
Love her more she is worth it
Love her better and I have become better for the love shown her
Contributed by Lani
She calls for a poem
What is a greater gift given than
One on which is asked for
We ask for so little from our soul
The minds and bodies wanting’s
And needing’s mostly answered
The soul just the one thing asking
I rush to give her Love
Time – Heather Mirassou
We are like a pendulum that is counting the minutes until me meet again.
We are like sunbursts finding the sundial that tells us when we meet again.
Time is a thief to us.
Though our love is timeless.
The moment becomes our future.
We gather in tandem to be close again, ever widening our hearts in the center of love.
A Love Letter From Lani
Don’t stop saying
Let me close
Three words that do so much for us
My hands are open
My heart is waking
I love you timeless
All now
All future
I don’t go to God often
For you everything
I have to accept time moving along
I want time to stop
While we kiss
And breath the same air
I cherish the moment
Each hour in your arms
Brings new life to me
From the first hour
I’m pulling into love
I want you with me
You are magnificent
Contributed by Lani
I like her in white cotton
All her kisses welcome me
I go to her smiling
I begin to tremble
My will falters in restraint
She puts her hand on me
I felt her inside
Love me now holding tight
Holding you makes the moment real
A Love Letter – Lani and Heather Mirassou
Tears are near
I want to cry on your chest
My skin would take your tears inside
I would keep them
Take them now
I have never known such love
I never knew it could exist
I give you a place to cry
But more
Because on me, your tears would just be going home
You see I love them from within
A Love Letter – From Lani
We must dance
Oh you know I love to dance
I press against you
Oh yes
To excite you
To make me strong
I hold you tight
Every muscle flexes
Gravity decreases
Your heart glows
I bend your hips
I hold you from both sides
We are in ecstasy
You have guided my hands
I have lifted you
We are in the same love
We don’t let go
I love you deeply
I want to feel all your weight
As proof you are real
Do this for me
Yes my love
I will remember
I will too
A Love Story – Lani and Heather Mirassou
We are glowing together
A smile that lasts day and night
Whether separate or apart
The heart crack is wide open
We are at the center
Exploring the edges of love
I am here
You are near
Love is grand with you
My grace
Your strength
Will carry us today and tomorrow
Love unfolding naturally
Acceptance draws us near
Unconditional love fulfills us
A love story is being written
Our future together is clear
Dedicated To My Lover Lani – Heather Mirassou
My heart and soul ache for you
My lips, swollen search for you
My eyes find yours and dive deep into the ocean of blue
Your neck, a wonderland, we are tangled
Your chest, beating like a drum, my dance floor
Your stomach, white and flat, my resting ground
Your legs, pillars of strength, they hold me like bricks
Your curvy toes, tickle me in my dreams
Your love, like to no other in this world, you set me free
A Love Letter – Lani
Please hold me
I ache to hold you
Press ourselves together
We will hear music
Just holding each other
Your breath is music to me
I want to hide away with you
Soon
I’ll listen to your heartbeats
I have been saving this special first for us
I wanted to love you more before I listened
The heart I love beating
I will listen with my ears and hands
You will be breathing deep
And we will be in love
I could do this today
I love you so
You will love me
I flutter some
I flutter too
We are the same
You kiss me gentle
I kiss you deeply
A Love Letter – Lani and Heather Mirassou
How did you find me again?
I cried
I must live
And you appeared
God has plans for us
Sometimes when we are broken
God gives us miracles
That is each other
Dedicated To My Lover – Heather Mirassou
Let me lay my head on your shoulder
Lay me on a bed of roses
Kiss me
I’ll be wearing white
Sing me a love song
For I love you so
I don’t want anybody else but you
Love me and make me feel alive
Hold me close and tight
My heart falls wide open
Come to me and enter
Bring your magic touch
As I whisper your name
I will hold your soul
As we share dawn
I will not give up
I will be patient
I will endure
Give your all to me
Contributed by Chadd Henderson
It is not enough
To love you from a distance
It is not enough
To live doing little things
Human life is to reach
Inside ourselves
Inside someone else
And be received
These simple acts
We start with our hands
Lani’s Love – Lani and Heather Mirassou
Her breasts translucent
Her nipples erect
Her hips wide and curvy
They smell of life
Her lips searching
He stiffens
His mustache debonair
She chases him as they sit together
His lips voluptuous
They know where to go
His eyes mesmerizing
Showing strength
Palm to palm
Waiting for her to feel
Her heart wide open
She opens to release
What he is asking for
They pour together
She catches him
She sings a love song of poetry
To the man she wants
He watches over her while she sleeps
She hums
And prepares the morning gift
Another day in love
She wraps her legs around his
Not wanting him to leave
He stays together for her
Their purpose
Together
Twin rainbows

Her petals are pink with white tips
She is in full bloom
I crawl to her
She hypnotizes me
She is a precious pearl
She is dripping with fragrance and fresh cream
Just let me stay near
She opens a new flower
As I quiver
Her pheromones entice
She envelopes my presence
She is part of me
As I am of her
I will return
Each new day and night
And revel in her beauty
Let Me Close – Heather Mirassou
Let me close you said
From your eyes, I saw a crack in your heart open
I came to you and let you close
You held my hands
Caressed my face and laid it against mine
Let me close you said
I felt a crack in my heart open
Let me close you said
You put your hand against my heart
As did I
Our hearts beating opening the crack’s further
Your lips so soft and voluptuous
I followed them
Let me close I said
Until we meet again
I am speared
Contributed by Chadd Henderson
She came to me
I did nor turn away
She told me of her thorn
I pulled it
She did not cry
I cried for her
Darshan – Chadd Henderson
Darshan, a Sanskrit word meaning to give from within.
Let us grasp hands
Let us see into each other’s eyes
Let me gaze upon your forehead
See in me what you can
Let us persist until my heart cracks open
Or until one of us is reduced to tears
I Am Speared – Heather Mirassou
Contributed by Lani
My lover lay on my bosom. I feed him from within.
He holds me. There is no separation.
He leaves for the daytime and some nights alone.
He returns to me as pure as when we parted, my lover.
Contributed by Lani
Wake now Noel, to a man baring a gift like none ever received,
Ready yourself Marie, it will take time to receive.
As your name Mirassou carries thee for the life of Lani’s gifts, need time to be given Heather.
A Virgin – Heather Mirassou
Her skin pink and satin
Trapped nude in a secret vault
I lavish her sweetly
She moans and begins to quiver
Her dazzling sapphire eyes
Swoon over me
I whimper
A virgin begins to charm
Like a candle made of potion
A rare ruby shinning
Dances in the mirror
Subtly hypnotizing
She tastes like sugar and honeycomb
Her taught fingers
Caressing languorously
Sunset like a fire
Engulfs me
The evening torrents
An aphrodisiac
We tremble into oblivion
In exotic bliss
As my charmed jewel
Lies with me
Poet – Heather Mirassou
Monumental quill
Muses
Thee created
To write
Tongue-tied
I mend
Immersed
In poetry
Boundaries – Heather Mirassou
My dying spirit
Spirals out of control
Working my bloody
Body to the bone
You ask too much too bare
I resent you for lying in despair
Balance does not exist
Only terror on the edge
A vicious wrath begins
As my rage causes lapses
Of memory and judgement
Pieces of boundaries
Lay on the floor
My apologies and amends begin
Until again
Desire – Heather Mirassou
Wonder amorously
Blood brimming
Wilderness vessel
Every droplet wet
Chaste with soul
Hips become fierce
Thighs become fiery
Thrusting,pumping and springing
Chasms burst
Your glorious spring cascades
Delight – Heather Mirassou
I see naked droplets
of subtle honey bee.
Love released beyond
our summer lending trees.
Beyond a breeze
glow-worm light shines bright.
Love wheel delight
for the stars are giddy tonight.
Young Bliss – Heather Mirassou
Young bliss
a fragrant kiss.
Lips slumber
eyes agaze.
Arms aflame
damp passion.
Enmeshed in desire
bloomed within.
In A Dream – Heather Mirassou
In a dream I felt the cool white
His sweet madness
Among anchor water lilies
The willows were trembling
A nest of twilight kisses
Where the stars are shivering
Scented sweet and wild
From violet forests
Our arms intertwine
With beads of love
Grandfather – Heather Mirassou
His brows like bended bows with curly-q’s
His mustache like motorcycle handlebars
His eyes like green gin olives
His hair grey and wavy like ocean whitecaps
His hands immaculate and powerful like a surgeon’s fingers
His figure debonair and statuesque like Fred Astaire
His smile cautious but genuine like Buddha
His memory a journey like the wine that ran in his blood
Dedicated to my grandfather, Ed Mirassou
Take Me Home – Heather Mirassou
Take me home mama
To a place I once belonged
Hold my hand steady
And sing to me a song
My face filled with tears
All my family is gone
Take me home mama
To a place I once belonged
Under the grapevine canopy
You taught me to be strong
The hundred year-old oak tree
Dances until dawn
Take me home mama
To a place I once belonged
Lavender Moonlight – Heather Mirassou
Like peach blossoms
As lovely as daffodils
In the purest hope of spring
My heart-strings follow each strum of a harp
Your voice a hypnotic melody
I leap like a cricket
at the whisper of your name
The evening floats
On a great parrot wing
I am comforted
With you by my side
I hold you tight
Like two twilight beams across the sky
In the listless evening
I listen for the last chime of the day
I lie with you
In lavender moonlight
Hand-in-hand we reach our destiny
For a mystical shower of love
If I Were There – Heather Mirassou
Peaches and pears your delight
Divine roses a gift from your wife
Your favorite soups and stews
Lamb and veal cooked to and fro
In silence in your hammock
Hoping the sun melts the cancer away
If I were there
I would rub your brow and wet your lips
If I were there
I’d warm your sheets and fluff your pillows
If I were there
I would bring you home under the old oak tree
If I were there
I would fill your house with sunflowers
If I were there
I would sing sweet poetry melody
If I were there
I would lay next to you and comfort you
If I were there
I would read you prayers
If I were there
I would have said goodbye
My knight and shining armor
Questionable Love – Heather Mirassou
From seedlings
Raw passion arrives
teardrops germinate
A questionable love
Free reign love’s geyser
Either uproot and scatter
Or stay and bloom
Childhood Blackness – Heather Mirassou
Foster Child – Heather Mirassou
Foster child of silence
What did you say?
You were always instructed to smile
It was a woman’s way
Your smile is corrugated
You eyes sheathed in despair
You yearn for a rush of happiness
You wear your masks expertly
Until your hidden emotions bleed
You pace and pray to make them go away
But you cannot stay sane in this façade
White padded walls embrace you
Until your soul is cut in two
You finally speak
But no one listens to you
No light on the horizon
Only darkness that ties you down
You don nakedness
You plant your feet in a potted tree
Hoping to go back to a place,  safe and serene
Instead on the cusp of losing your mind
You hear voices calling out
Telling you that they love you
You look all around for them
But remain alone in the padded room
Your mental illness you cannot control
It is the monster in your heart that wants to let go
You gather your strength above no other
To put another mask of sanity on your face
You play your façade expertly
And you are released for a time
Until you become a danger to yourself or others again
Where is your gratitude?
Just for today
You have been given multiple chances
Of a second chance at life
Remove the lock and key from your soul
Seek help and slowly let the pain come
Don’t let it drown you
Some memories have been taken away by God
Other’s  have endured with his assistance
But what is wisdom and life without trial
Begin to forgive and begin to heal
Let the dragons come head on
With your family by your side
You are not alone
Speak your voice or ink your pen
But do not be a victim
To the demons inside
Take off your running shoes
Go barefoot in earth’s paradise
Walk to the ends of the Earth
And God will kiss your blisters away
You will no longer be despondent
No longer suffocating in your silence
You will remain on the path to freedom
Break from the constant
Begin to live again
Free yourself
Find the courage and the voice
To say goodbye to the old demons
The harmony in your heart is your life-giving force
Goddess – Heather Mirassou
In sunny solitude
The swelling seas
Erase the bank of haze
Birds begin to sing
A skylark soars in the air
Purple hills of paradise
No longer dampened souls
Tossing and turning in the night
Pearl white peaks
Hypnotize across the planet
The color of strength
Of a rainbow myriad
Green cascading canopies
No longer drinking
Nature’s tears away
With fluorescent green
Humming birds
Under the turquoise sky
The vintage rustic vines
Are revived to a new life
Rejoicing hearts
Of amethysts and emeralds
Are awakened from
The breeze of heaven
Vines whisper in awe
Her sun
Sky sweet bliss
Fountain overflows
To twilight shade
Robed fields of gold
Her young berries
Plump and iridescent
Until harvest comes
She will say goodbye
And again renew
Mad Love – Heather Mirassou
This was a free write in response to Arthur Rimbaud’s Ophelia. His poem is lovely and mine does not quite do it justice.
As snow does to a fire that runs
Blue white Ophelia floats
Mad with love as magnificent as snow
And among water lilies
Star which melts away
The wind kisses her breasts
Shivering willows
A nest of mad kisses
Curves of her back
In each soft corner
From violet forests
His sweet brow
On the seascape
The calm black water
Black moss embroidered
Her great veils rising
Why the goldenrod stars
Love her reflection madly
The rivers are a sail
Shadow flowers with bale
Scented twilight
A pearl sky
Who Am I? – Heather Mirassou
It’s been quite
Some time
Since someone
Noticed
Do see me?
I am Here
My beautiful
Warm
Genuine smile
Smiling at
The world
Beside me
Don’t you
See my
Chiseled calves
And voluptuous
Thighs
A mile high
I may be over
Forty
But my Bosom
Swings
And Skips
To a
Funky beat
With a tip-toe
Skip, Hop & dance
That only I know
My eyes
Liquid blue
Eyes stare
At magic
In the
Air
My skin
Fair
Freckled
With
An Irish
Pigment
From my
Grandmother’s
Lair
My limbs
Covered from
Head to toe
With Wisps
Of Blonde hair
From my
Mother’s
Hair
Like my
And French
Forefather’s
My heart
Pumps
By Wine
My Blood
And
Endless
Passion for
Tradition
My fingertips
Reminiscent of
God’s great earth
The Goddess
Nature
Aglow
Laced with
Permanent
callused
From my
Writing pen
A kaleidoscope
Into my
Soul within
My voice
An accent
Slung with
Kindness
Compassion
And love
So if you
See me
Dancing
Down the
Street
On just
An ordinary
Day
Than
Stop to
Smell the
Roses
May the
Aroma
Sweet
And lulling
Pass your
Way
Making
Your day
Do a little
Hop, skip & jump
And feel
Freedom
In your
Steps
Make sure
To Smile
My way
Don’t forget
For I am
Here
Watching
Dancing
Waiting
For someone
To see me
My Darling Lover – Heather Mirassou
Angel of God – Heather Mirassou
“I wrote this poem when my little sister was born. She is twenty years
my junior and has grown into an amazing young woman.“
An embryo in a cocoon of safety
slowly unfolds into a world of hands.
Hands of unconditional love
bring her into the beauty of light.
No longer floating
now breathing the lightness of air.
She fights hands and fist,
unknowingly being adorned, brought into life.
Kissed by an angel, he leaves his mark
as she is grasped by her loving parents.
She is a gift to them, a gift to this world,
an angel of God.
Symphony of Broken Things – Heather Mirassou
Garden Affair – Heather Mirassou
I wrote this poem for my husband recently, I would love some feedback from poetry enthusiasts!
Fear of Losing You – Heather Mirassou
FEAR OF LOSING YOU
No longer affectionate, attentive, thoughtful eyes;
instead, an expressionless, invisible, blank stare.
No longer strolling hand-in-hand, carelessly;
instead, walking moonbeams apart, drifting like clouds.
No longer drowning in passionate, lingering kisses;
instead, an obligatory, awkward, fleeting peck.
No longer two hearts bow-tied with strings;
instead, reclusive, lonely hearts, in a noose.
No longer dreaming of a lifetime together;
instead, an uncertain, somber, painful future.
No longer a confident, loving wife;
instead, a heartsick, lonely, aging woman,
Desperately afraid of losing you.
Heather Mirassou

Making Love to a Marlboro – Heather Mirassou
Nearly naked except
Expertly stroking his lover
Fingers caress a slender body
Methodically engulfing aroma
The sweet smell of sex
Waves of rapture quiver
Eyelashes and eyeballs flutter
Sinking into oblivion
Head bobbing like a pendulum
Savoring his lust
Inhaling smoke languidly
Sucking every toxin
Heather Mirassou
Love To My Husband – Heather Mirassou
I am drawn to you like
The stars to the midnight skies
The Earth to the burning sun
Water to thirsting flowers
I am comfortable with you like
An old pair of boots
A faded pair of jeans
My favorite sweater and scarf
I am at peace with you like
Sitting in a boat in the middle of a lake
Taking a walk in silence in the country
Listening to rain drops fall in the dark of night
I am alive with you like
The laughter that is uncontrollable
The heart that goes thump, thump, thump
Running through wildflowers in the wilderness
Every ounce of my being
Mind, body and soul are riveted by you
I am alive with you, free with you, comfortable with you
I love you
I Kissed You Secretly – Heather Mirassou
